Jules is an underwater conservation photojournalist exploring the threats that face California's sea and shores.

Born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, Jules spent his childhood exploring the Chesapeake Bay watershed's streams, rivers, and forests. With a passion for wildlife and an early interest in photography, Jules' love for the wild transformed into the pursuit of wildlife photography. Jules' previous work includes the Urban Raptor Project, exploring how urbanization affects hawk and raptor populations. The Urban Raptor project worked to illuminate the challenges that cities present to raptors. Published by the New York Times in 2022, the project captured the efforts of the women of Owl Moon Raptor Center as they worked to protect urban raptors.

Jules' current work focuses on the intertidal ecosystems of the California coastline. Highlighting the adaptations that help intertidal organisms survive the most extreme ecosystem on the planet.

Jules is open to local assignments, editorial articles, image licensing, and print sales.
